Kia ora bloggers, in week 8-9 there have been swimming lessons which have changed the times apart for maths, etc. we have to blog one task we did in the 2 weeks and I chose to do my space shooter game. I hope you enjoy.

Spanish reflection

Kia ora bloggers, in week 8-9 we have been learning Spanish with Mrs. Davies, we were learning: how to count to 10, colors like Azul which is blue, Rosa is oink and many more, it was so fun learning Spanish, one of the tasks was to make an animation of 2 characters greeting each other using Spanish, here it is.

Kia ora bloggers, in maths lately we have been doing bedmas, It is a type of way doing a long equation, we have been doing lots of practice like doing it in chalk and even making an animation explaining it which you can see on another post, here is an equation that we did and I wonder if you can do it, make sure to comment your answer below in the comments!

Bonjour my fellow bloggers, in term 4 for inquiry we are learning about the art and culture in different country's Mr. Shaw my teacher has chosen japan and we have made a slide about the art and culture of japan, Me, Jordan, Lachlan and Max worked on this slide and we hope you enjoy it. also if there are any words you don't understand comment them and I will add them to the glossary!

Asttele practice

kia ora my fellow bloggers, in week 2 in writing we had a practice for an eastlle writing test in week 4, I think that my writing came out amazing and was really well done. here it is!

The swishing and swaying of the trees and the satisfying crunch of the beautiful golden autumn leaves under your feet, 

“man this is a wonderful day to take a lovely walk and forget about all the problems and just relax” 

says Chris. As he gets deeper into the thick oak tree woods he starts to hear down below 

“hmm where can these voices come from?” 

he asked to himself and as he got closer to a totally normal bush they start to get louder and deeper and the smell and the sound off pickaxes smashing against solid rock, he decides to investigate this certain bush, as he lifted up some leaves he discovers a hole and in it looks to be a GOLD MINE! In the time of a MASSIVE gold rush. He chose to go down and have a look and what does he see? AN ACTIVE GOLD MINE! He was stunned but as he looked around he was startled to see a massive man with a mining helmet and covered in dust 

“What are you doing here!” he yelled furiously 

“Uhm Uhm I just heard voices in the woods and Uhm I looked under a bush and saw a hole and chose to Uhm come in” 

he said nervously

“Ok that’s fine also we really need some more people to help mine and I think you might be perfect!” 

“Yeah sure”

“Ok I will go and get you a helmet, some clothes and a pickaxe then I will give you a quick run around to show you where everything is and then you can start working here if you would like to”

“Why not” 

Chris said

“My name is Jake pleasure to meet you

“Chris pleasure to meet you to” 

When Jake got Back he handed him Chris’s gear and he got all set and started mining since this was his first-ever time mining Jake helped Chris out and you would never believe what they found… A RIDICULOUSLY BIG CHUNK OF GOLD WORTH OVER 15 MILLION DOLLARS! They were super happy and couldn't believe it after they had got it out they decided to take it back to Jake's house and to discuss what they should do with it. In the end, they decided to sell it a movie company in there hope that they could star in a movie! 

“oh my god we are in a MOVIE!” said Jake

“How did a lovely afternoon stroll end up to making me star in a movie! 

They were jumping in joy, so it’s true he thought, it's really true. 

Term 4 Maths Goals

Kia ora bloggers,
I can't believe we are already in term 4, we have number knowledge bricks that we have been doing since the last term, I am working on brick 23, 24 and 25, I will be working on my bricks once a week for 20 minutes. I hope I can get one brick every 3 weeks but that probably won't happen:). We will review these every couple of weeks. I am looking forward to this term.

Inquiry recap for term 3

Kia ora bloggers, for inquiry this term we had a choice of what we do for the term, the choices were tv, online media, radio and print media, I chose online media, what we did in online media is we got roles like a job, they were editor leader or writer, there were also 3 categories which were entertainment, sport and community, and news. kia ora bloggers, for my week 9 create I chose to do vocabulary for a bit of a change, it was great seeing all of these new words that I have never heard of before and also what they mean, here they are

persuasive writing in term 3

kia ora bloggers, in writing this term we have been looking at persuasive writing and adverts, we started off by looking at adverts and how they persuade people to buy their products or whatever then we went over to writing persuasive writing, we used a format called the OREO writing, how it works is that the O is the opinion, the R is the reason, the E is reason explained then the O is opinion restated, we also did other things like practice drills and stuff. all of the work we have done throughout the term we used in persuasive writing, I chose marshland caps. here is the writing

Survivor toroa recap

Term 1 goal reflection

Kia ora bloggers, for you today I have got my goal reflection for term 1.  Overall I am pretty happy for how far I have got,  I have improved a lot in my maths and writing but not as much in my reading. I really should be reading more because if I wont to improve I will need to read a lot more. One of the major things I need to do is to keep my goals in mind so I don't slack back and get lazy! I don't think I will change my goals but if I do I will update you. I will make little goals to help me with my big goals. That is all I have got for you today I hope you enjoyed. My 5 R camp reflection slide

last Tuesday on the 12 of February to the 16th toroa went to Wainui YMCA camp. it was about 2 hours to get there but it was worth it. the activities we did was kayaking, coasteering, raft building, giant swing, high ropes, flying fox, cemetery walk, archery, and outdoor living. my favourite activity was out of archey, kayaking ar coasteering. here is my slide camp reflection slide. 5 R DLO + slide

Kia ora I'm back and I have survived the holidays If you are thinking what a DLO is it stands for digital learning objective, so at our school, we have something called the 5 R's. it is a bit weird but all it is is 5 words that start with R and they and they are what the teachers want us to use in like the playground and in the class.
