week 6 term 3 conclusion

hi bloggers, as the end of week 6 is just under our noses it is time for me to share what we have done this week, firstly it was our 2020 math week and have done some fun things in the toroa hub themed around the subject it is, we played some maths games which included countdown, maths baseball,  a treasure hunt with the kiwi hub and much more things. after we lunch the hub competed in a math question treasure hunt where we had to find the questions, answer them and then come back to the teachers to get marked. in the actual maths subject, we were working on probabilities in winning the lotto (which is just rich kids from Auckland) and different probabilities and percentages.

For literacy wearer working on our video essays on genres, I chose to do sci-fi as I watch my fair share of sci-fi movies.
for inquiry we have been working on rockets and space stuff, I'm gonna share the review on me Coll's and Caleb's test flight
Fins: The fins we had first were decent, they were aq good shape and were aerodynamic but were too flimsy and we didn’t waterproof them, so they went soggy, having 4 of them worked well, and we will keep 4 of the new ones

Nose cone: The nose cone we had was all goods, but we could have cut it a lot cleaner

Weight: We had three hex nuts in the nose of the rocket. We think that we do not have to make a change.

Water: We had 270ml of water in the rocket. and then on the second flight, we bumped it up to 300

Psi: We had 60 psi for the rocket

Flight success rating out of 10: 7.5 out of 10

that's all for this week ill have another one for next week! laterzzzz

Parachute experiment

Hello people, On Thursday last week we started to make parachutes and we were experimenting with what worked and what didn't, the parachute was carrying 2 hex nuts, the time our parachute took to fall from the ground wasn't great it was 1.69 seconds but it was only our second idea, sadly I don't have a picture of my parachute sadly.
